Description
At Mockingbird, you will own the content writing function for our entire agency. You will report directly to our VP of Services, who will leverage his three decades of marketing and advertising experience to continually push you to grow as a professional.
This role is crucial to our mission of providing top-tier, data-driven legal marketing services to aggressively growing law firms.
Responsibilities
- Up Our Game : Work with the Customer Success team to create a brand messaging bible for each client.
- Content Planning : Assist our Web Design and Development teams with a content plan for each website we sell.
- SEO Content Strategy : Collaborate with our SEO Managers to craft an ongoing content strategy for each client's website, focused on achieving clients' traffic and conversion goals.
- Content Creation : Write a majority of the content we produce at the agency, (both with AI and the old-fashioned way, as appropriate).
- Content Management : Manage and edit outsourced writers (as needed) to ensure we hit all our delivery dates with content that meets our high standards.
- Social Media : Work with our graphic design team to produce quality social posts.
- Agency Content : Collaborate with specialists from all our teams to produce a regular flow of content for the Mockingbird website, webinars, newsletters, and pitch decks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a content strategist, SEO copywriter, or similar role.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of Local SEO principles and best practices.
- Experience creating and managing content plans and editorial calendars.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Familiarity with WordPress and basic HTML.
- Experience working with graphic design teams to integrate visual content.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong analytical skills to assess content performance and optimize accordingly.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in the legal or legal marketing fields (preferred).
