Electrical Inspector - Field Evaluations, Remote-Pacific N.W.
Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) and leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the world's leading brands and companies, is actively seeking an Electrical Inspector - Field Evaluations, Remote to join our team based out of Menlo Park, CA.
What are we looking for?
The Electrical Inspector is responsible for performing field evaluations on energized electrical products at jobs sites to ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes, issuing reports, and communicating with clients.

- Open to Remote candidates in the Pacific / West Coast USA region
- Ideal Candidate will be in the greater Seattle area
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $43.25 / Hr to $50 / Hr. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

About the Team
Intertek's Electrical team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification for a variety of electric products, including appliances, consumer electronics, lighting, medical devices, information communications technology, HVACR, industrial, and energy transmission and distribution.
Our dedicated professionals help ensure the quality, safety, and sustainability of electrical products used by people throughout the world.
How you'll make an impact at Intertek
- Perform tests and measurements on products as required by applicable standards.
- Make judgements regarding product compliance in terms of applicable standards.
- Record ambient conditions at job sites.
- Apply labels to products that meet requirements.
- Document corrective actions to products, including photographing non-compliances.
- Issue reports summarizing the results of the inspections to clients and AHJ's.
- Communicate with clients and AHJ's.
- Perform other work as required.
- Keep all information confidential to each client.
Who we're looking for
- Associate degree in technical field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 5+ years related experience. City inspector / AHJ experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC).
- Knowledge of basic electrical safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret standards.
- Ability to work independently to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, with hours ranging from 0 to 40+ in a work week.
- Ability to travel 75%, including air and overnight travel.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable driving record (required)
- IAEI membership is a plus.
- Physical Demands :
- Ability to lift / carry at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb at least 30 feet.
