Pay Rate : $22-$28 / hr. (dependent upon experience)
Duration : Temp to Perm
Schedule : 1st Shift- Monday- Friday 7am- 330pm
Summary :
Responsibilities : Develops and modifies inspection processes for raw materials and secondary operations to ensure conformance to specifications.
Proficient with a wide range of inspection equipment.
Key Tasks :
- Verifies physical properties and dimensions of materials (e.g., plates, sheets, castings, forgings, dies, fixtures, bar stock) and products from fabricating machines and secondary operations
- Accurately inspects high-value, complex, and tightly-toleranced parts using mechanical and computerized inspection equipment
- Develops and documents inspection methods for high-value, complex, and tightly-toleranced parts.
- Reports and tracks inspection results, maintaining quality records in inspection history folders.
- Identifies and selects appropriate inspection techniques, using alternative methods to validate results.
- Utilizes statistical techniques to improve process capability.
- Writes and updates incoming inspection methods.
- Collaborates with engineers and programmers to establish incoming inspection instructions for new parts.
- Determines the proper disposition of rejected materials
- Communicates supplier quality issues and tracks corrective actions
- Resolves quality problems in collaboration with engineers and production personnel.

Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or GED; VoTech Trade school graduate preferred.
- Completed Apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three years at Machinist Level or two years at Inspector Level.
- Proficient in using a variety of machine inspection tools and devices.
