Purpose

Candidate will be planning, coordinating, and managing the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of assigned projects.

Additionally, he / she will ensure clear agreement of client objectives, and these objectives are met or exceeded, achieve or better the budgeted gross margin, and provide strong HSE leadership.

The Project Managers are responsible for administering and managing the design teams including staff planning, budget forecasting, mentoring, financial performance, and reporting progress and challenges to Worley location leadership.

The Project Manager is expected to drive the team to meet project financial, schedule, and project objectives, consistent with Worley's standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • HSE Management : Ensures compliance with all HSE procedures and that HSE requirements are documented and understood by all project participants.
  • Client Relationships : Identifies, documents, and communicates client requirements. Effectively manages multiple stakeholders and maintains / develops healthy client relationships throughout the project and post-completion.
  • Commercial Management : Effectively manages Worley / Client contract.
  • Scope Management : Manages an effective handover from the Business Development Group. Clearly defines scope and compliance with requirements of the contract.
  • Time Management : Manages the planning of all scope elements of the project. Develops resource and financial requirements from the project plan.
  • Cost Control : Plans and prepares accurate project estimates. Establishes cost reports for control of projects.
  • Quality Management : Defines the project quality requirements. Ensures the right systems are in place and applied on the project.
  • Team Management : Provides clear and focused leadership for the project team to create a vision for project success.
  • Communications Management : Ensures accurate and timely progress reporting to the client and internally to Worley management.
  • Risk Management : Identifies project risks and opportunities.
  • Design Management : Sets clear objectives for the design team.
  • Typically manages multiple, complex projects or programs. This includes minor or major projects. Ability to visualize and design new concepts and ideas related to technical / functional projects;

broad knowledge of business operations and ability to implement and sometimes lead organizational change effectively within project scope.

Qualifications

BA / BS degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in supervisory and / or project management including technical and supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present complex program proposals and reports to executive level management is critical.
  • Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural and possibly multi-national environments.

Additional Information

This position is located in California. Salary Range : $166,892-$245,430.
