Associate Director of Product Management - Conferences Business Solutions Team

Gartner Conferences seeks a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director of Product Management to join our team. As an Associate Director, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction and success of our Corporate Events technology product portfolio.

You will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional products that meet customer needs while driving exceptional experiences.

This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations, to gather insights, align priorities, and foster collaboration.

Additionally, you will be responsible for designing exceptional user experiences, conducting user research, and working closely with design teams.

Your strong project management skills will be essential in driving flawless execution and delivering products that exceed customer expectations.

As an Associate Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for :

Product Strategy and Roadmap : Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap for our Corporate Events technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and deliver innovative event experiences that meet the needs of our clients.

Technology Solutions and Integrations : Oversee the development and implementation of technology solutions and integrations for Corporate Events.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, manage timelines, and ensure successful execution.

Client Insights and Innovation : Gather client insights and feedback to drive product innovation and enhance the Corporate Event experience.

Continuously evaluate and refine event solutions to meet evolving client needs.

Product Requirements and User Experience : Translate business requirements into well-defined product requirements, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.

Collaborate with design teams to create exceptional user experiences that delight event attendees and drive engagement.

Vendor Management : Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.

Continuously evaluate and optimize vendor partnerships to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Agile Project Management : Utilize agile methodologies to manage the product development lifecycle, including backlog management, sprint planning, and release management.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.

Performance Monitoring and Analysis : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of corporate events.

Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and inform product enhancements.

  • Leadership and Mentorship : Provide product leadership and mentorship to a team of product owners. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management : Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and event operations, to ensure successful planning and execution of corporate events.

Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on product development and performance.

Supporting Conferences and Events : Travel to our global events and conferences to support the delivery of a seamless experience, gathering feedback and insights to inform product enhancements.

What you will need :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management or similar role in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Exceptional Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Ability to quickly understand intricate business and technology issues and drive them to resolution.

  • Product Management : Proven track record of successfully launching and managing innovative products in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Communication Skills : Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinker : Ability to think strategically and align product initiatives with overarching business goals and customer needs.
  • Client-Centric Focus : Strong understanding of customer-centric design principles and methodologies. Experience in gathering and analyzing customer feedback to drive product improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable product plans.
  • Agile Expertise : Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks. Experience in prioritizing and managing product backlogs, sprint planning, resource planning, and release management.
  • Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with technology solutions and integrations for events, including event management platforms, registration systems, and virtual event platforms.
  • Time Management : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Travel : Willing to travel up to 10 times a year to support the seamless execution of in-person conferences.
