JobSummary :
The individual in thisdynamic role will be central to designingdevelopingtestingandmaintaining the pivotal software components of our quantum controlstack.
No prior experience in quantum computingis required for thisrole.
Responsibilities :
- Designimplement test and maintain core software components of our quantumcontrol stack.
- Collaborate closely withhardware physicists embedded systems engineers and cloudfacing APIdevelopers to integrate software with both offtheshelf and customcontrol hardware.
- Optimize data processingtechniques to improve efficiency andperformance.
- Adhere to and promote highstandards in code quality testing andmaintainability.
- This position is primarilyfocused on software engineering and involves consistentcollaboration with our internal hardware and electronicsengineeringteams.
SkillsRequired :
- Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science Electrical / Computer Engineering orequivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 2years of programming experience in a professional environmentthrough internships coop programs or significant open sourcecontributions.
- Excellent proficiency withPython.
- Handson experience with softwaredevelopment methodologies such as Agile orScrum.
- Proficiency with standard softwaredevelopment toolchains and paradigms including version controlsystems and continuous integrationtools.
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologiesand applying them to solve complexproblems.
- Demonstrated ability to write cleanefficient and maintainable code.
- Excellentverbal and written communicationskills.
PreferredQualifications (ideally proficient in one or more of thefollowing)
- Experiencewriting control software for hardware (e.g. robotics scientificinstruments IoT).
- Experience with scientificdata analysis
- Familiarity with modern C (C11and newer).
- Experience with asynchronousprogramming and threadingmodels.
