We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in MANHASSET, New York. This role is within the industry and involves responsibilities such as billing, invoicing, spreadsheet paperwork, and bank reconciliations.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all aspects of billing and invoicing to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify transactions and prevent discrepancies
- Maintain and update spreadsheets for record-keeping and analysis
- Interact with accounts payable to ensure smooth financial operations
- Ensure all financial paperwork is properly filed and organized for easy access and retrieval
- Analyze financial data and create reports for management review
- Utilize accounting software for data entry and management
- Implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding account status and updates
- Stay updated with latest industry trends and best practices in accounting.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in Accounting or a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in Billing is essential.
- Proficiency in using Spreadsheets for data organization and financial analysis is required.
- Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.
- Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify errors.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
- Adherence to confidentiality and high ethical standards.
