Location : Midtown, New York (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office)

Our client is actively interviewing for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Controller, the ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting for a real estate portfolio, focusing on multifamily entities.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing the opportunity to work closely with senior management and gain valuable experience.
Daily responsibilities will include :
Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including A / P review, cash management, and wire transfers.
Lead monthly GL close process and prepare workpapers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Generate monthly reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage cash flow projections to meet operational and investor needs.
Collaborate with the real estate team to develop and maintain annual budgets.
Review tax returns and ensure alignment with financial records.
Prepare local and state filings as required.
Qualified candidates for this role will have :
2-3 years of accounting experience focussed on real estate.
Strong proficiency in accounting principles and financial analysis.
Excellent organizational skills with a focus on prioritization and time management.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of Yardi or similar real estate GL systems preferred
Compensation for this role :
$90,000 - $110,000 base salary range
