Join our team and make a difference! Aptiv is seeking to hire a Full-Time Overnight AFH Direct Support Associate (Temporary) for our adult family home in La Crosse, WI where you will support adults with disabilities in a family home setting.

This position earns a competitive hourly rate of $16.25 / hr with a wage differential of $1.50 / hr for overnight hours and an additional $1.

50 / hr differential for weekend shifts.

This is a full-time, 3rd-shift, and temporary position.

Responsibilities :

As an Overnight AFH Direct Support Professional , you get to facilitate our adult clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live with independence and dignity in the community.

With up to four roommates living in a home under a true roommate arrangement, the feeling is family-like, rather than institutional.

And, since you work with the same limited number of clients regularly, you get to know them very well. You feel great about facilitating a full life for these individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that you have the privilege to work with!

You do more than just assist with medications, meals, light housekeeping, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, errands, and appointments.

While those tasks are important, you also provide companionship and socialization, as you support your clients in visiting with friends, attending events, or working on hobbies.

You help them stay healthy in all areas by making sure that they are mentally stimulated, physically active, and well-nourished, encouraging their independence as much as possible.

Qualifications : Required

Required

Must be 18 years of age or older

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

Access to reliable non-public transportation with required insurance coverage

Flexibility in scheduling

Ability to operate computer equipment; knowledge of various software packages including Office Windows applications 2007 and above

Previous direct or related experience

Demonstrate a basic knowledge and understanding of issues that affect people with disabilities

Preferred

Related two or four-year degree

Schedule :

This is a great full-time job with a 3rd shift schedule. Services are offered 7 days a week . Shifts are overnight . We are also looking for weekend availability .

We have an on-call phone to provide support on an as-needed basis in addition to scheduled services.
