Inova Fair Oaks Emergency Room is a 34-bed emergency services facility recently renovated and expanded to serve patients, both adult and pediatric, more efficiently.
Emergency medical care is provided by board-certified physicians from Virginia Emergency Medical Associates (VEMA).
- Staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians at all times for both adult and pediatric care
- Dedicated child-friendly waiting area and patient rooms for pediatric patients, along with Child Life specialists on hand to ease a child's anxiety
- Convenient location off Fairfax County Parkway and ample free parking on campus
As a Clinical Mentor, you will develop expertise in training, coaching and mentoring staff through the promotion and delivery of high-quality nursing care.
To help achieve our mission, you will orient, educate and develop nursing staff to ensure competence and ability to fulfill specified responsibilities.
Providing support to novice and advanced nurses and preceptors to ensure a smooth transition into practice and the work environment is required.
Your ability to integrate knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the clinical and social adjustment needs of all team members is of vital importance.
Participating in the design, delivery and evaluation of educational programs to promote clinical development and career progression from novice to proficient nurse for new or existing clinicians is expected.
Job Requirements :
- Hours : Open any shift times and structure as long as majority of hours are after 7p.
- Education - Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Experience - 3 years of progressive experience in clinical nursing in designated specialty; experience serving as a preceptor
- Certification - Basic Life Support via American Heart Association
- Licensure - Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
