Siemens Digital Industries has an opening for an IT / OT Network Solutions Specialist to support our Siemens and distributor sales teams in the USA.
The Specialist will support the Process Automation organization to supply solutions to the industry and provide expert consultation to drive growth of our Industrial Networking and Network Cybersecurity business.
It is the goal of the Network Solutions Specialist to integrate hardware and software products within the Siemens Industrial Networking portfolio into systems for end customers (various industries) and to displace competitor solutions.
In collaboration with Siemens Network Application Engineers, this role will support the identification, nurturing, and closing of opportunities.
This position will report to the Head of the Industrial Networking Value Sales Enablement Team in the USA and work closely with other Regional Specialists, Application Engineers, and Service Engineers within the Process Automation Business Unit.
We are looking for an IT / OT Network Solutions Specialist. This position is remote and can be located anywhere in the western time zone of the continental United States.
You’ll make an impact by :
- Providing consultative PreSales support to Siemens sales teams, distributors, systems integrators, OEMs, and end customers ( technical advice ) relative to Siemens IT / OT Network solutions.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for Siemens Industrial Networking and Network Cybersecurity products and associated solutions.
- Assisting customers in the early design stages through application analysis, developing Network system architectures and recommendations of products suitable for a given proposed solution.
- Contributing to the development of specific solutions for applications in the target vertical markets as well as demonstrating approaches to enter new markets and applications.
- Developing and conducting in-person solution update sessions or hands-on workshops for Customers, Distributors, Siemens Sales, and Solution Partners.
- Growing Siemens Industrial Networking champions throughout the partner community in the US by providing the latest and pertinent technical information.
- Developing ideas and contributing to the design of Industrial Network demo systems for use at customer presentations, trade shows, and training workshops.
- Supporting the Industrial Networking Product Marketing Team in customer-facing events, presentations, and business development efforts.
- Contributing to the development of use case collateral and application notes for the benefit of customers and partners.
- Contributing to white papers and technical presentation development.
- Offering product improvement recommendations to Product Marketing based on field experience and competitor intelligence.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications :
Basic Qualifications :
- 8+ years of successful experience in the related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented below.
- Education : HS diploma or equivalent GED and 10+ years of professional experience as outlined below.
- Technical knowledge in areas of IT / OT network infrastructure design, both wired and wireless, industrial automation engineering as well as network dataflow knowledge.
- Knowledge of typical industrial communication architectures for automated industrial manufacturing.
- Network Certification from one or more major suppliers; CISCO CCNA, Siemens Switching & Routing, HP Aruba, etc.
- Knowledge of one or more of the most common Network Cybersecurity Standards; IEC-64443, NIST SP800-82, NERC SIP, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to build trusting relationships with sales and customers (interpersonal relationships).
- Anticipated travel : 60%.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications :
- BS in Engineering discipline.
- Extensive Network Certifications from one or more major suppliers; CISCO CCNA, Siemens Switching & Routing, HP Aruba, etc.
- Extensive Knowledge and certifications of one or more of the most common Network Cybersecurity Standards; IEC-62443, NIST SP800-82, NERC SIP, etc.
- IT / OT Network Design Experience in one or more Target Verticals : Semiconductor, Battery Manufacturing, Aerospace, Power Distribution for Datacenters, Sustainability / Recycling, Agriculture.

The pay range for this position is $88,340 - $151,440 and the annual incentive will be 21% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
