JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Patent Agent to provide business-oriented client patent procurement services on large and small service teams.
The successful candidate should be patent barred and have a Bachelor s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering, with experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO.
Candidates with a Master of Science or PhD are preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO
Work closely with client service teams to provide effective patent solutions that align with clients' business objectives
Conduct patentability searches and prepare patentability opinions
Draft and negotiate patent licenses and agreements
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in patent law and industry trends
Requirements :
Registered to practice as a Patent Agent before the USPTO
EE / CpE / CpSci / ME / ChE / Chem / Life Sciences required
At least two years experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO, with demonstrable success in achieving issuances
Experience conducting USPTO examiner interviews
Experience preparing and prosecuting software and business method patent applications
Outstanding research skills, including the use of online services, databases, and the internet
Superior organizational skills
Project and case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Able to work well independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Candidates with a Master of Science or PhD are preferred.

Salary : $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
