Videographer

Job Requirements

Sweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of musical instruments and pro audio gear is seeking to add a full-time Videographer to our staff! We're seeking an experienced, self-starter to join our team of videographers and editors.

The ideal candidate should have experience on commercial and creative productions, a comprehensive understanding of lighting techniques, be proficient in basic audio and sound recording and able to edit when necessary.

Major bonus points for existing experience with the Blackmagic family of cameras and a love of music and / or audio gear.

All applicants are expected to submit a demo reel or samples of their work.

As a member of the video team, you'll help shoot product videos, demos, interviews, special events, branding videos and other projects as needed in a fast paced environment.

You'll often be responsible for lighting, sound, camera operation, editing and post production either as an individual or part of a team.

Job Responsibilities :

• Responsible for shooting, editing, and producing videos for Sweetwater, both as an individual and as a part of a team
• Cut, edit, and make corrections to videos prior to final production
• Work in conjunction with creative marketing team to come up with ideas for video shoots
• Complete all assignments in a timely manner with outstanding quality

Qualifications :

• Reel and samples of existing work (links to YouTube or Vimeo are welcome)
• Relevant degree and / or 2 years or equivalent of real world experience (film school, film and video work, ad agencies)
• Experience importing and editing video (we use Davinci Resolve)
• Passion for visual storytelling and marketing
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and shoots
• Ability to operate autonomously, interpret, and receive creative direction, and function as a member of a team

Bonus Qualifications :

Experience within the music industry, music retail, and / or music video production would be a plus
