Responsibilities About Henderson Hospital Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of acute care and specialty hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities.

Located in Henderson, NV, the acute care hospital offers emergency care, surgical services, including an outpatient surgery center, cardiovascular care, women’s health and maternity services, including a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, outpatient wound care and two freestanding emergency departments the ER at Green Valley Ranch and the ER at Cadence.

It is accredited as an Advanced Primary Heart Attack Center, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and as a bronze-level Geriatric Emergency Department (GEDA).

Henderson is not just a place to live, but truly a place to call home. Job Description : Responsible for assisting with implementation and maintenance of the Infection Control Program’s hospital’s surveillance.

Serves as a resource to all hospital departments, participating in identified projects or groups related to Infection Control.

Qualifications Shift : FULL TIME DAYS Education : Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Clinical Microbiology or other health related science required.

Master’s in Nursing, Education, Edpidemiology, Public Health, Clinical Microbiology or other health related science preferred.

Experience : Two (2) to five (5) years clinical experience in health related field required. One (1) year experience in Infection Prevention or epidemiology preferred.

Technical Skills : Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet and database. License / Certification : Current State of Nevada license in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or other related health science if applicable.

Eligible to become certified in Infection Prevention within two (2) years of employment. Other : Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care / service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit / department.
