Banyan networks is seeking a Project Manager to support various state and local government projects. Banyan just acquired Pacific wireless and went from 30 hands on customers to 300, where a lot of PWC customers will have various types of projects / orders Banyan needs to execute on.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Project management experience (Telecom / wireless exp. is preferred)
- Operations and supervisory experience
- Scheduling projects / budgeting experience
- Small business experience, willingness to hold multiple responsibilities.
- Needs to be hands on / implement some processes / dive into some of these integration projects.
Early on - manage techs in the field, making sure they're efficient, staffs the right size, project management experience.
- Not looking for a super senior individual.
- Almost like a start-up overall, great financial backing, trying to be nimble like a start.
Travel? Some inter island travel (just days) - kauai, maui, big island.
- Responsible for direct reports - 4-5 direct reports
- 15-20 Technicians they're responsible for in total.
- Anything the company is doing, the Project Manager has responsibility for. Help building project budgets, resource scheduling.
- Projects are telecommunications projects - microwave, networking, 2-way radio.
With the PWC acquisition - their client base is much larger than it used to be. Working with hotels and large commercial buildings
