Under the direction of the University Events Assistant Director for Production, Audio & Lighting Services, this position assists in processing reservation information for campus events.
They will also be responsible for maintaining and updating cloud-based event and staff scheduling calendars for student employees engaged in audio & lighting event support in BSU Auditoriums and other event venues across campus.
Using Campus Reservation software EMS , Google Calendar, and MS Office 365, this position will :
- Assist in processing incoming requests from BSU event planners for PALS area.
- Track & communicate changes in University events for PALS staff.
- Assist in assigning appropriate student staff to University events
- In consultation with Auditorium Technical Director, assign appropriate lighting & sound equipment to individual events.
- As part of training / team building, participate in event support on occasion.
A successful candidate must be organized and detail oriented, able to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
Other preferred qualifications include :
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
- Familiarity / experience with EMS, the Google suite Calendar, Docs, Drive , MS Outlook, and / or MS Office.
- Experience with event production lighting, sound, audio / visual helpful
