Job Description

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the retail and light commercial construction markets across the Midwest.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, including property developers, real estate firms, and retail chains.
  • Conduct market research, identify industry trends, and gather intelligence to support targeted business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare accurate and competitive proposals and bid submissions.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company's services and capabilities.
  • Coordinate and deliver compelling presentations and project proposals to prospective clients.
  • Work closely with project managers and executive leadership to ensure a seamless transition from sales to project execution.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's overall growth and profitability.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of the retail and commercial construction markets, industry trends, and business practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM software.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with a track record of achieving sales goals.
  • Willingness to travel within the Midwest region as needed.
