Are you a dedicated and detail-oriented Fund Accountant? Our client is seeking someone just like you to join their expanding team at their Connecticut office.
This role is vital for managing daily cash, finance, and accounting functions for private equity funds. As the Fund Accountant, you'll be at the core of their daily operations, overseeing valuation, investor services, and tax compliance related to the funds.
Location : Greenwich, CT (Hybrid)
Compensation : $90,000 - $120,000 / year + bonus
Schedule : 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Fund Accountant :
- Invoice Allocation and Approval : Assist in the allocation and approval process of invoices.
- Cash Transactions and Reconciliations : Review cash transactions and reconciliations prepared by fund administrators.
- Financial Statements : Assist in preparing and reviewing fund, general partner, and co-investor financial statements, including partner capital account statements.
- Documentation Analysis : Analyze and interpret deal documentation for financial reporting purposes.
- Capital Calls and Distributions : Assist with capital calls and distributions for the funds and co-investors.
- Closings and Audit Requests : Assist with quarterly and annual closings, including audit requests.
- Investor Requests : Assist in responding to investor requests.
- Controls and Accuracy : Ensure controls are in place and accounts are accurate.
Qualifications for the Fund Accountant :
- Experience : 2-4 years of audit, accounting, or private equity / credit experience.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is preferred but not required.
- Skills : Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
- Knowledge : Familiarity with private equity accounting is a plus.
