We are a family business seeking local and organic food obsessed, positive, meticulous, hard workers to join our Pastry Team in Bedford, NY.
Duties include :
- Assisting with menu development : Helping the pastry chef plan and execute the pastry menu
- Preparing Pastries : Assisting with the preparation of pastries and desserts using standard recipes
- Baking : Baking advanced pastry items with consistent quality
- Maintaining Inventory : Maintaining accurate inventory and pars of all products produced by the pastry team
- Measuring Ingredients : Measuring and mixing ingredients
- Regulating Temperatures : Regulating cooking temperatures and monitoring baking times
- Cleaning : Maintaining station cleanliness and organizing all areas of the kitchen
- Following Standards : Adhering to food safety standards and health and hygiene standards
- Decorating : Decoratingn pastries
Pastry assistants typcially need a minimum of 3-5 years of kitchen or bakery experience.
Degree or Certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts preferred.
