General Summary of Duties :
The primary purpose of the Fine Dining Server Assistant / Polisher is being a custodian of excellence. Making sure that the dining room and bar storage areas are neat, clean, free from clutter and safe.
Responsible for polishing all glassware, silverware, and service tools along with stocking them in their respectful areas throughout the dining room and bar.
Accountable of keeping trash and debris away from guest facing areas in the dining room. Being courteous and gracious through any guest and internal guest interaction.
Examples of Duties (include but are not limited to the following) :
- Move washed glassware and silverware from the dish area to the polishing station
- Anticipate the restaurant needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
- Empty trash and linen bags throughout service
- Polish all bar and dining room glassware & silverware to ensure each area is fully stocked
- Mop floors as necessary to ensure a clean, safe work area
- Allow guests to have the right of way in the dining room
- Bid farewell to guests, using guest's name when known, and encouraging them to return
- Effectively communicate with management, bartenders, and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests
- Clean of all equipment, tools, and supplies and maintain equipment in good working order
- Follow all health sanitation and safety regulations and procedures
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Position Requirements :
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
Education :
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Typical Physical / Mental Demands :
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch
- Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push
- Must have good near and far vision
- Must be able to hear and talk
