Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Software Engineer, FPGA Embedded . In this role, you will :

  • Perform complex FPGA software design.
  • Design digital signal processing, messaging, control, and high-speed communications.
  • Interface and collaborate with program leadership and teammates on a regular basis.
  • Estimate, break down and plan work for their software.
  • Take a high DSP algorithm for a radar system and break it into small pieces.

The successful candidate will have experience and / or knowledge of C / C++.

Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering.
  • Embedded processor architecture, such as ARM processors within AMD(Xilinx) and / or Intel(Altera) FPGA devices and their associated application environments
  • Strong working knowledge of C / C++
  • Possess technical expertise to implement designs with only minor direction
  • Experience with Linux environments
  • Ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity applied to FPGA embedded processor designs
  • Working knowledge of MatLab

Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills :

  • Working knowledge of digital signal processing functions
  • Extensive FPGA software programming capability, and having applied that knowledge on an FPGA device (AMD, Intel). Having utilized Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, development platforms to successfully build and test an executable implementation of code which they have written.
  • Mathworks Simulink knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with the PetaLinux operating system on SoC FPGA devices
  • The candidate should possess excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with GitLab

Ability to Work Remotely : Part-time Remote Telework : The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position : 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate :

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $70,500 - $135,000.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

  • Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees : accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons;
  • receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually;

receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate :

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $81,000 - $152,600.
