Fuel Maintenance Service Technician
Primary Focus :
Metro Environmental Services, LLC is a full-service Pump & Tank Remediation Company in the Petroleum Construction Industry.
MES is seeking a Fuel Maintenance Service Technician for mechanical and electrical repairs and installation of fueling systems.
Fuel Maintenance Services Technician is also responsible for performing a variety of on-site functionality testing and inspections of mainly retail fuel facilities.
Job Responsibilities of the Fuel Maintenance Service Technician include but are not limited to the following :
- Responsible to maintain manufacturers certification.
- Mechanical repairs, installation and startup of fueling systems.
- Electronic repairs, installation and startup of fueling systems.
- Minor electrical repairs of fueling systems.
- Repairs to tank field components. i.e., spill buckets, ball floats, overfill protection, etc.
- Repair of Veeder Root Systems.
- Repairs and installation of electronic cash registers and consoles.
- Repairs and installation of electronic tank monitoring systems, incl. all components.
- Repairs and installation of all fueling control panels.
- Repairs and installation to the Point of Service (POS) Systems.
- Repairs and installation of the intercoms.
- Perform calibrations and reporting to state agencies with all proper documentation and paperwork.
- Technician will perform manufacturer’s warranty calls where applicable and all necessary paperwork required by manufacturer.
- Communicates with Service Operations Manager on any related situations pertaining to job. Responsible for informing immediate supervisor on a daily basis of his or her progress and to inform of any unforeseen circumstances that may arise.
- All work is conducted in accordance with applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Prepares daily work tickets, documenting and approving work performed, materials used, cost, etc.
- Safely drive a company vehicle to and from project sites daily.
- Good attendance and punctuality are a must.
Job Requirements :
- Basic knowledge of plumbing & electrical.
- Knowledge of HVAC acceptable and can be trained based on background
- Must be certified OSHA (40 hours) company will support / facilitate.
- Valid driver’s license required, CDL is a plus.
- Must be willing to travel and possible hotel stays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Full-Time with salary starting at $42,000, salary is based off experience. Prevailing Wage and Overtime opportunities available with this position Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental and 401k w / match.
