The Private Banking and Wealth Management (PBWM) Federated Chief Data Office (FCDO) Project Management Office is an execution function focused on providing project management and planning expertise in support of the Private Banking and Wealth Management (PBWM) Data operational model in order improve the integrity and quality of data used across Citis franchise processes.
The PBWM Project Manager will be accountable for the project management of projects and initiatives across the PBWM FCDO (Federated Chief Data Office) in support of the global direction and strategy of best-in-class data quality management and controls across regions and lines of businesses to ensure data used to operate PBWMs products, businesses and reporting to executive management and regulators are fit-for- purpose.
This role is accountable for project managementof data related projects and initiatives that are focused on ensuring PBWM complies with Citis Data Management Policy, which is highly visible to key regulators such as the OCC, Federal Reserve Board and NY Fed.
This role is to support the PBWM FCDO Project Management Lead. This role requires significant project management skills as well as deep knowledge of Citi Program Management Council (CPMC) Standards and Procedures or similarly structured disciplines.
This role is an individual contributor role but may expand depending on workflow.
This role requires strong project management skills, business knowledge, broad connections across all businesses as needed, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and regulatory knowledge.
Executive level communication will be required as well as regulator direct communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Manage PBWM FCDO data management related initiatives across the Private Banking and Wealth Management including regulatory commitments, policy requirements, and business as usual deliverables
- Provide project management support to PBWM FCDO Program managers and ensure that detailed, tracked, monitored, and measured project plans are in place in support of the timely delivery of PBWM FCDO Data Management projects
- Ensure that Project Management principles are maintained, delivered, and applied across the PBWM FCDO data management projects and initiatives in compliance with corporate policy and best-practice standards
- Drive process standardization with consistent measures of progress, quality, benefits across all PBWM FCDO Data projects
- Ensure rigor in planning with regards and not limited to resourcing, testing, budget, critical path identification and risks
- While the focus will be on managing PBWM FCDO projects, timelines, etc., this role will also be leveraged to manage projects across the PBWM regions when required.
This will be required when we are required to report on the status of a project at the PBWM level.
- Support across multiple time-zones and geographies, when required, in support of Regional Data teams when required to fill a gap in that area
- Experience in Scrum, Test Driven Development, and waterfall methodologies a plus
- Execution / Delivery experience of large transformation programs
- Participate in book of work reviews and health checks
- Coordinate as needed PM related regulatory inquiries and provide guidance during internal / external audits
- Lead on-demand project reviews and post-mortems
- Enforce program and project management governance guidelines and follow up on exceptions
- Establish clear escalation paths to raise Program Management concerns to PBWM FCDO Senior Management team as appropriate
Knowledge and experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business required.
- Track record of exceptional performance
- 6-10 years minimum experience with 2 years minimum experience in project management (including execution and governance), including experience leading large-scale projects.
- Detailed knowledge of the Citi PM Policy and Citi PM Standards (or similar) and knowledge of the interaction with industry level standards.
- Prior experience in MRA remediation and regulatory interaction
