About Us :
Gecko Hospitality is conducting a confidential search for an established full-service restaurant in need of an experienced Assistant General Manager .
We’re looking for a dynamic leader to help maintain operational excellence, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and overseeing daily restaurant operations.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and proven experience in managing high-volume establishments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide friendly, responsive, and professional service to all guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, maintaining consistent quality and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage and train both kitchen and front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Assist in achieving sales, service, quality, and cleanliness goals, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.
- Handle cash management, including cash handling, reconciliation, and following company procedures.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development initiatives for new and existing staff.
- Oversee inventory management for food, beverage, and supplies, ensuring accurate ordering and cost control.
- Assist with scheduling to meet business demands while maintaining labor cost objectives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as local labor laws.
Qualifications :
- 3+ years of front-of-house operations or assistant management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop a team.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic math skills for cash management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
