Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Control Panel Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing control panels according to electrical schematics and diagrams.
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and wiring practices. The Electrical Control Panel Builder will work closely with engineers, electricians, and other team members to ensure high-quality and precise assembly of control panels that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Assemble Electrical Control Panels : Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings to assemble control panels.
Mount and wire electrical components such as relays, contactors, PLCs, transformers, circuit breakers, and terminals according to design specifications.
Ensure all connections are secure, labeled, and organized for easy identification and maintenance.
Wiring and Cabling : Route, cut, and terminate wires and cables within control panels, ensuring proper insulation and connections.
Crimp, strip, solder and wire (26AWG-12AWG) using various tools to create reliable and safe connections.
Testing and Troubleshooting : Perform functional testing of assembled control panels to ensure proper operation of electrical circuits and components.
Identify and resolve any wiring or component issues that arise during testing. Document and report any discrepancies or non-conformities to the appropriate team members.
Quality Assurance : Adhere to quality control processes to ensure that all panels meet company standards and customer specifications.
Conduct final inspections of completed panels before shipment to ensure accuracy, functionality, and quality. Perform rework of wiring and assembly under the guidance of a Quality Control (QC) technician.
- Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools in compliance with company and industry safety standards.
- Documentation and Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of panel assembly, wiring, testing, and inspections. Update and revise wiring diagrams and schematics as needed.
Qualifications :
Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in electrical systems or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in electrical control panel assembly, industrial electrical work, or a related field.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring practices, and safety standards (e.g., NEC, UL). Experience using hand and power tools, including wire cutters, crimpers, soldering irons, and multimeters.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and move components and panels weighing up to Insert Weight . Capable of standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods.
- Personal Attributes : Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Dress Code :

- Starting Wage : $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Swing Shift Differential : Additional $3.50 per hour.
Shift Options :
- Day Shift : 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm, Monday Friday (5 openings).
- Day Shift (4x10) : 6 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm, Monday Thursday or Tuesday Friday (5 openings, depending on availability).
- Swing Shift (4x10) : 4 : 00 pm to 3 : 00 am, Monday Thursday or Tuesday Friday (5 openings, depending on availability, with initial assignment to swing shift).
