CNC Mill Programmer

Volt is immediately hiring a CNC Mill Programmer in Huntington Beach, CA.

As an CNC Mill Programmer you will :

• Programming : Writing and optimizing CNC programs for milling machines using software like Mastercam.
• Analyze drawings, sketches, blueprints and / or schematics of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, machine speeds and feed rates, according to knowledge of machining processes, part specifications and machine capabilities.
• Writes program of machine instructions to regulate movement of machine along cutting path.
• Revise programs to eliminate errors or omissions and retest programs to check that problems have been resolved.

This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity

The ideal candidate will have :

• Minimum 5 years Mastercam programming experience or equivalent of education and experience.
• Proficiency in lathe programming and live tooling (mill / turn) using Mastercam or similar software.
• Knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) software.
• Knowledge of computer and computer systems to program.
• Knowledge of and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)
• Read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.

Schedule : 1st shift (Must be flexible to work between 6AM to 2 : 30PM or 7AM to 3 : 30PM)

Pay Rate : $33.00 to $35.00 per hour
