K-12 Tutor

Position Summary Multiple temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions in Teacher Diversity. Start Date Position available on or after September 8, 2023 and ending on or before May 31, 2024.

Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Job Description / Duties

Duties include but are not limited to : Assist with during and / or afterschool tutoring sessions at selected K-12 schools located in Turlock, Ceres, and Empire.

Assist in tutoring all students.Assist in establishing and maintaining a positive working relationship with teachers and other staff members at school sites.

Assist with communication with the program director as necessary and work directly with school site personal (teachers and program director) to assist student tutorial needs.

Submit monthly tutoring logs.Attend all mandatory tutoring trainings.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications : Demonstrates knowledge with the foundations of all K-12 core subjects, such as Mathematics, Science, English, Reading, and Writing.

Required Qualifications :

Undergraduate students must be registered / enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall / Spring units.Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall / Spring units. Special Conditions
