As the Senior Section Supervisor, you will be responsible for the operational and technical components of Hematology, Chemistry, Waive testing and Point of Care testing in the laboratory and hospital proper.
Assumes responsibility for the laboratory in the absence of the Administrative Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure all department operations, functions and activities are managed daily
- Responsible for : quality control, proficiency testing, continuing education for staff and self, all instruments; validation, correlation, AMR, and troubleshooting
- Responsible for all inventory procurement
- Conforms to all standards set forth by the College of American Pathology for regulatory accreditation
- Responsible for the Laboratory in the absence of the Administrative Director
- Responsible for the Waive and Point of Care section of the Joint Commission regulatory requirements
- Develop department quality management activities and department strategic goals that are aligned with the Hospital Annual Operating Plan.
- Serve on hospital committees as assigned
Required :
- Satisfactory completion of an MT Program with a Bachelor's degree.
- Must possess MT(ASCP) certification or equivalent.
- Training / Experience acceptable to the Laboratory Director that meets accreditation requirements will be considered.
- Master's degree and specialty certificate is desirable.
Preferred :
- Master's degree and specialty certificate is desirable.
