JOB TYPE : Full-Time Permanent

Job Summary :

We are looking for a dedicated Hospitalist - Medical Director to lead the medical team, and oversee the efficient operation of the facility.

Seeking a physician for this challenging, engaging, and diverse scope of practice who thrives in this position. This physician will lead and oversee the work of other doctors, nurses, technicians, therapists, etc.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all clinical services meet certain standards of quality and effectiveness.

The Hospitalist - Medical Director will be involved in developing new programs or initiatives. This includes creating protocols for new procedures or treatments, overseeing the implementation of new equipment or technology, or helping to develop new training programs for staff members.

You will work to improve the overall care and quality of our facility and work to enhance relationships with vendors who work with our facility.

Candidates should be dedicated to promoting the trust and professionalism of our facility within the community. You should have good managerial and organizational skills, as well as excellent medical knowledge and training.

Responsibilities :

  • Recruit, hire, and manage physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other medical and non-medical staff.
  • Examine and coordinate the facility and staff to guarantee the highest medical care and quality.
  • Assist and oversee training, continuing education, and promotion of subordinate staff.
  • Manage facilitys budget, work and enhance relationships with vendors, and mediate between medical and non-medical departments of the hospital.
  • Update, amend, and replace medical policies with the advice of the medical board.
  • Oversee & develop cooperation and manage any differences among staff.
  • Keep medical knowledge, experience, and licenses up to date.
  • Prepare official documents or records, when necessary.
  • Ensure staff and facility is in compliance with federal and state regulations and codes.

Requirements :

  • Current Internal Medicine Doctor license in state of practice required.
  • A Medical degree and board certification in family medicine, emergency care, or occupational health.
  • Ten (10)+ years experience in clinical medicine.
  • Five (5)+ years in hospital administration.
  • Strong communication, computer, electronic record, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, as well as excellent managerial, and organizational skills.
