Job Summary :
This position provides genetic counseling services for clinical patients with genetics and metabolic diseases to the population of the States of Colorado.
It is associated with Children’s Hospital Colorado, but also serves the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus, as well as several affiliated community hospitals throughout the State.
The individual hired in this position is responsible to the Genetics & Metabolism Section Head. The individual will work collaboratively with other faculty and genetics and metabolic team members.
The successful candidate will join a group of 23 genetic counselors who work with both medical genetics and specialists in other areas, including regional satellite clinics.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide outpatient and inpatient genetic counseling with known or suspected genetic disorders and inborn errors of metabolism.
- Share on-call responsibilities with the other faculty.
- Participate in the education of genetic residents, medical students, pediatric residents, and genetic counseling students.
- May include opportunities to assist in new specialty programs, as well as support ongoing specialty clinics.

Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
