Position Summary

Identify, plan, and implement continuous improvement solutions to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity, and improve cycle time, resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction across the organization.

Assist Graphic Services, Printing, and Platemaking with achieving goals and objectives by designing and maintaining control systems for the flexographic and digital printing process.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with Graphics Leadership to identify and prioritize process improvement solutions and projects within Graphics and with cross-functional groups in the organization.
  • Develop project plans including resources, timing, budget, and risk assessment / mitigation.
  • Manage execution of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring projects stay on track and adjusting priorities based on business needs and initiatives.
  • Ensure proper change management processes are followed and monitor for sustained improvement within the Graphics and NA Printing network.
  • Provide support and technical guidance to NA Graphics
  • Assist work groups in solving complex problems and document solutions for training purposes.
  • Coach and develop peers' skills in identifying improvement opportunities and implementing solutions.
  • Lead prepress and project meetings to prevent workflow issues and ensure accurate artwork setup.
  • Support Graphics Account Managers in identifying the most accurate proofing solutions for complex designs.
  • Meet with customers, designers, and agencies to address technical questions.
  • Represent Graphics management in cross-functional and cross-divisional teams and meetings.
  • Manage NA Graphics, Printing, and Platemaking Standards.
  • Support Graphics work groups with developing processes and documenting standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance through change management processes.
  • Establish and manage NA standards in collaboration with plant resources, including validation, measurement methods, and equipment calibration.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to standards and alignment with industry benchmarks.
  • Provide support and technical guidance to NA Printing and Platemaking
  • Collaborate with Graphics Process Control Technicians to document and address support issues.
  • Review customer complaints and returns related to print defects.
  • Analyze issues to identify process gaps and root causes and develop corrective action plans.
  • Communicate with plant resources for non-process-related issues such as operator training and infrastructure needs.
  • Coordinate with Graphics Development and Global Printing Manager when new technology, equipment, or materials are required to address process gaps.
  • Collaborate with Graphics and internal partners to develop, validate, commercialize, and market improvements, new products, or processes.
  • Provide Voice of Customer (VOC) requirements for Printing and Platemaking.
  • Assist Graphics and internal partners with procedures and training for commercialization.
  • Lead implementation of new processes and procedures for Printing and Platemaking, including documentation and resource qualification.
  • Monitor and manage process control systems.

Qualifications

  • BS / BA degree (Graphics-related field preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of technical skill development with advanced project management experience.
  • Prefer knowledge and experience in the following areas : flexographic printing process (pre-press, proofing, plate making, inks, and printing), design of experiments, Lean Six Sigma, and project management.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills required to manage multiple, concurrent projects; ability to follow up is critical.
  • Advanced SAP knowledge with a focus on searches and reporting.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to identify issues, risks, and impacts .
  • Solution-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; skilled in data analysis.
  • Ability to strategically influence internal partners to achieve goals and objectives of Graphics, Printing, and Platemaking.
  • Self-motivated and able to maintain a positive attitude; capable of motivating project team members and internal partners.
  • Flexible and willing to work in a multi-functional environment with proven skills in teamwork.
  • Proficient in professional communication with plant managers, business directors, and external vendors.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
