About the Role
As a Customer Impact Intern, you will get unique experience in teamwork and collaboration between Communications & Marketing, Events, Landus Foundation and our Health and Wellness teams.
This internship will not only boost your portfolio but will give you the opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world setting.
If you’re a junior and wish to focus more on a specific department, we’ll tailor your internship to align with your degree, ensuring you get the most out of your time with us.
What will you do?
Over the summer you will spend time in each of the following areas :
Communications and Marketing
- Assist in the marketing and communication of the Landus brand, including written and visual content, promotional materials, website updates, and marketing campaigns.
- Assist with marketing and communication efforts and needs of our grain, feed, agronomy, sales, and GROW departments.
- Assist and provide input into the digital and print advertising content creation activities.
- Writing projects as assigned that align with brand standards and style of Landus.
- Attending team meetings and events and contributing marketing recommendations based on learnings.
- Attend meetings as needed with external marketing agencies to assist in our marketing efforts.
- Aid in the development of content for the internal and external digital newsletter(s).
- Assist in content development and coordination of brochures, collateral, videos, events, displays, etc.
- Assist digital media specialist to shoot and edit photos and videos at events and in day-to-day activities as needed for use in future publications and social media.
- Assist in radio and print advertising writing and publication.
- Work as a communications & marketing team member in meeting needs of internal customers
Event Coordinator
- Plan and manage events of varying sizes and purposes
- Plan event details and aspects, including seating, dining and guests
- Remain under budget with all costs
- Manage events and address potential problems that may arise
- Plan for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event
- Maintain a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events
- Provide post event recap, budget analysis, and participant feedback for all events.
- Oversee procurement of purchasing needs with regards to catering, A / V, , and rental needs for events
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to successful execution of event plans
- Work with the Marketing team to ensure events receive optimal media coverage
- Coordinate travel arrangements as necessary for event related travel
- Travel as required
Landus Foundation
Social Media Content Creation :
- Develop engaging and compelling social media content to promote Landus Foundation activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the Foundation's online presence.
Foundation Events :
- Assist in the planning, set up, and execution of various Foundation events.
- Work closely with the events team to ensure seamless hosting and coordination of all event responsibilities.
Promotional Materials Design :
- Contribute to the design and development of promotional materials for Foundation initiatives.
- Assist in creating visually appealing and informative content to enhance the Foundation's brand.
Copywriting :
- Write impactful and persuasive copy for promotional materials, social media posts, and event communications.
- Ensure consistency in messaging across various platforms.
Community Outreach :
- Collaborate with the Foundation Executive Director to support community outreach initiatives.
- Engage with local communities to promote Foundation programs and activities, and to understand community needs.
Fundraising Assistance :
Assist the Foundation Lead in organizing and implementing fundraising initiatives.
Performance
- Help develop engaging social media content on health and wellbeing topics
- Plan and manage wellbeing focused events of varying sizes and purposes
- Conduct reviews of the best health and performance resources in our area and at a national level to identify new options for our community
Requirements :
Candidate Requirements
Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year post-secondary program with fields of study in communications, marketing, journalism, event coordinator, dietetics, or business.
Licenses, Registrations, Certificates
Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license
Location & Commitments
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to prod, handle, feel, or reach.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to focus vision.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
