Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.

2. Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other).

3. Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.

4. Assess potential risks, materials and costs.

5. Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems / deficiencies.

6. Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.

7. Handle over the resulting structures and services for use.

8. Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.

9. Manage budget and purchase equipment / materials.

10. Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management is preferred (open to equivalent experience)

2. A minimum of 4+ years of experience in heavy infrastructure, heavy civil, or marine construction industries.

3. Proven experience in heavy civil, marine, and heavy infrastructure projects.

4. Strong project management and team leadership skills.

5. Demonstrated experience in project planning, scheduling, and quality control.

6. Strong understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.

7. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.

8. Good knowledge of MS Office, and familiarity with construction / project management software.

9. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.

10. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

11. A team player with leadership abilities.

12. PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
