PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain knowledge of component ID color code, basic soldering, utilized assembly drawings, wire lists of bill of materials and specific written instruction in performing duties.
- Build electronic assemblies using perforated printed circuit boards and discrete components.
- Assemble control modules using steel chassis, existing electronic assemblies, and point-to-point wiring.
- Participate and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform other related tasks as requested by supervisor..
- Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
FACILITY / GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILTIES
- Able to lift 45 pounds.
- Ability to learn on the job and apply.
- Ability to work with heavy equipment
- Assists with the cleanliness of work area.
- Performs other work-related tasks as assigned by the Assembly / Manufacturing Supervisor.
- Assembles and installs either electrical, electronics, mechanical or hydraulic / pneumatic components.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3-years assemble / mechanical / electronic experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work at high levels - wears Fall Protection Harness when performing work at above 4-feet.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Limited travel.
- Exposed to loud noise while in the warehouse.
- Exposed to moving parts while on the shop floor.
- Works in warehouse / shop floor environment setting 100% of the day, 0% of the day in spent at a computer in an office.
- Exposed to occasional hot and / or cold weather depending on outside climate conditions and warehouse temperature.
