Of course, we also offera great benefit package! Opportunity The Medical Director, Quality andValue will provide clinical leadership for the full spectrum of quality,safety and value initiatives of Mosaic Community Health.
This positionwill work in partnership with the Director, Operations, Director,Nursing, and Director, Value Improvement to lead the execution ofstrategies to align and demonstrate quality care and value to ourpatients, community, and payers.
Responsibilities Partners with theDirector, Operations, Director, Nursing, and Director, Value Improvementin developing strategy to advance value related aspects of clinicalcare, including but not limited to, clinical quality outcomes andpopulation health, patient experience, patient access, providerefficiencies, team care, and cost of care.
Reviews and synthesizescurrent and emerging evidence-based literature relevant to Mosaicclinical programs and quality initiatives.
Guides the use ofevidence-based literature with initiatives.
Collaborates with ChiefHealth Officer (CHO) in establishing clinical focus areas (e.g.standards of care, quality improvement indicators, and patient careprotocols) and supports Clinic Medical Directors (CMDs) in implementingand monitoring these.
Provides direct patient care at up to 50% FTE,including preventive care, primary diagnosis and treatment in a primarycare clinic setting.
Examines, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronicmedical conditions.
Uses current evidence-based guidelines in creatingdiagnostic and treatment plans; utilizing tools such as 'Up to Date 'or 'Choosing Wisely.
Skills & Knowledge Understands and hasexperience with fiscal accountability and budgeting.
Knowledge ofquality infrastructure, including how to develop and implement decisiontools, clinical protocols and guidelines, care management programs, andoutcome measurement assessments.
Knowledge of information technology,including statistical analysis, clinical epidemiology, and medicalinformatics; understanding best practices and how to successfullyintroduce information technology into clinical practice.
Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills.
