JobResponsibilities
- Youwill accurately identify real / potential problems affecting theservice and implements solutions with follow through andcommunication
- You will actively participate inservice departmental and hospital wide committees as assignedproviding ongoing communication to those one represents
- You will advance the customer experience in SurgicalServices
- You will coach subordinates throughproviding feedback constructive critique of work facilitatesindividual development plan and documents their jobperformance
- You will adhere to all HumanResource policies
- You will effectivelycommunicate departmental organization and industry information tostaff
- You will facilitate evidence basedemployee engagement practices
- You willeffectively build strong relationships and networks to deliver uponorganizational and department goals
- You willparticipate in employee and patient rounding and identify andmentor potential future leaders
- You willenforce standards of care for surgical services and developsprocesses to measure and ensure consistent compliance
- You will develop implement and evaluate an ongoingsurgical services program which assures quality patient careconsistent with the Hospital mission
- You willmonitor compliance with regulatory accrediting and hospital policyenvironmental patient and personnel safety
- Youwill oversee a PI program that consistently monitors and evaluatescritical aspects of care.
- You will beresponsible for department’s operational excellence byensuring delivery of quality services in accordance with applicablepolicies procedures and professional standards
- You will follow the Hospital Exposure Control Plans / Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens
- You will enforcesafe procedural site and patient verification policy
- You will monitor and respond to quality eventreporting
- You will support new programstrategies and / or program enhancements which would expand patientservices
- You will develop prioritize anddefend capital equipment requests
- You will beresponsible for the fiscal management of department; assures properutilization of organization’s financialresources
- You will advance the growth agendafor Surgical Services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursingrequired
- Master's degree in NursingBusiness Administration Healthcare Administration or a relatedfield preferred
- 4 years of experience in aleadership role preferred or equivalent combination of educationand / or experience
- Currently licensed as aregistered professional nurse in the state in which he or shepractices in accordance with law and regulation required
- Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR)preferred
- Certified Surgical Services Manager(CSSM) preferred
