Job Description
The selected candidate will establish and maintain relationships with cognizant congressional committees and professional staff members and with constituent congressional and personal staffs, provide advice and counsel to senior leadership on congressional issues, coordinate visits by congressional Members and staff to company facilities and maintain strong relationships with Executive Branch Legislative Liaison Offices to support Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control (MFC), and Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) portfolios, including various munitions programs (GMLRS, Javelin, PAC-3, HIMARS, THAAD, Mk 48 Torpedo, etc), sensor systems and packages, rotary wing programs (Black Hawk, Black Hawk modernization, CH-53K, CRH), and mission systems (C4ISR systems, electronic warfare, radar, maritime systems, and training / logistics / sustainment) among others.
In addition, provide advice and counsel to senior leadership on congressional issues and policies and help manage advocacy efforts for our focus programs.
Internally, the position is responsible for cultivating a close working relationship with company level business development, government relations, and communications personnel in order to achieve business and corporate goals.

o Knowledge and experience in Navy / Marine Corps programs preferred

o Unwavering commitment to being a source of credible and accurate information on programs within jurisdictional portfolio.
o Experience holding a senior legislative staff position in the House and / or Senate.
o Ability to work and communicate in a fast paced environment and in a bi-partisan manner.
o Individual must be a goal oriented self- starter and willing team player.
