Please note that this role does not involve video editing or script editing.
Responsibilities :
- Edit and publish a minimum of 8 movie / TV articles per day on the Movie / TV News team.
- Assure there is content to be published and planned on current News topics.
- Participate in writer development and general writer management.
- Oversee and facilitate writer communication in Slack / Asana.
- Send feedback to writers according to MovieWeb's standards (as per our writing guides).
- Work with new writers to develop their skills and help them adapt to MovieWeb's standards.
- Work with existing writers to develop those suitable for internal development (staff writing, self-publishing, editing).
- Auditing Content Value and implementing best practices.
- Ensure daily and monthly News output goals are met.
- Ideation and news sourcing support.
- Must be available weekday evenings.
