BGMU is accepting applications for W / W ELECTRICIAN through Monday, October 28, 2024 . This full-time position performs preventive, corrective, and emergency electrical maintenance on equipment and systems within the Water / Wastewater Division, working in conjunction with the Instrumentation / Control Specialist and Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot and repair equipment and control systems.
This position will be scheduled to work Monday through Friday from 7 : 30a to 4 : 30p, with a rotating on-call requirement.

The primany focus for this position is to install, replace, repair, and maintain electrical systems, within the Water / Wastewater Division including the Water Treatment Plant, the Water Recovery Facility, the Water Distribution System, and the Wastewater Collection System.
Essential duties include :
- Primary focus is to install, replace, repair, and maintain electrical systems within the Water / Wastewater Division including the Water Treatment Plant, the Water Recovery Facility, the Water Distribution System, and the Wastewater Collection System.
- Perform scheduled electrical maintenance on heavy equipment, electrical control panels, instrumentation, communications and security equipment.
- Perform general lighting and power equipment maintenance.
- Work with factory representatives for troubleshooting and diagnostics, order replacement parts and keep appropriate inventory.
- Maintain appropriate documentation on equipment, including Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) records, asset management programs, and general preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Assist in review of electrical submittals for system modifications and upgrades.
- Conduct and analyze operating systems and equipment using infra-red analysis.
- Attend seminars, conferences, workshops and classes, and reviews professional literature to maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the field.
- Additional work and / or training outside normal work hours may be required.
Other Skills and Attrubutes : Must have a thorough knowledge of electrical and control systems including materials and methods used for these purposes.
Must able to technically support and advise the maintenance personnel and the Instrumentation Control Specialist. Must be able to apply mechanical and electrical rules and principles and work around high voltage at both treatment plants and all outlying facilities.
Must be able to trouble shoot, problem solve, and make independent decisions. Must be self-directed. Requires knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and CMMS.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both orally and in writing. Experience in Industrial Maintenance with an emphasis on electrical controls and an understanding of mechanical maintenance fundamentals is vital.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or graduate equivalency.
- Minimum of four (4) years industrial electrical experience.
- Possession of Electrical license is required.
- Valid Kentucky driver's license.
- Medical Examiner Certificate is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Assicuate Degree in Electronics / Electrical Technology or related field. Possession of Master Electrician license.
