Gender-based Violence Prevention Program Manager
Permanent Civil Service Position - Full-time position
The Program Manager will be responsible for implementation and oversight of the Division’s new Gender-based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Intervention portfolio that provides a holistic approach to addressing the diverse needs of adults and youth who are victims or survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault through the following priority programs :
- Advocacy and Education
- Crisis Lines
- Emergency Shelter
- Legal Services
- Transitional Housing
The Program Manager will be responsible for managing the Division’s GBV portfolio in partnership with community-based partners and will include (but not be limited to) the following priorities :
- Oversight of the GBV nonprofit grant portfolio.
- Implementing portfolio’s initiatives and strategies to best support impacted residents.
- Assisting with drafting departmental policies in this area.
- Overseeing the GBV procurement process from program writing to evaluating proposals.
- Effectively communicating and convening with grantees to support program development and implementation.
- Drafting scopes of work with targeted outcomes that align with initiative priorities.
- Regularly managing the collection and analysis of data to evaluate performance and impact.
- Representing MOHCD at inter-departmental and citywide meetings.
- Assisting with presentations as appropriate to the Board of Supervisors and other public bodies.
- Working in cohesion with MOHCD program, fiscal, contract, and data staff to best implement programming.
- Leading a collaborative approach with multiple partners and stakeholders to collectively address the needs of victims or survivors of gender-based violence.
