Paradigm is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support our client, a global leader in the legal industry. The Data Governance Analyst works within the Data Governance team where passion for accurate and actionable data enables the company to make smart decisions to mitigate risk and add process defining value.
The Data Governance Analyst will work closely with the Data Governance Specialist to drive change in a data-rich environment through analyzing the integrity, efficiency and availability of data.
You will work alongside data owners, data stewards and business stakeholders to provide support while creating and maintaining policies, standards and the implementation of non-invasive data governance.

Location : Fully remote Must be 50 miles from either New York, NY or Kansas City, KS or Beaverton, OR or Phoenix, AZ

As a Data Governance Analyst you will :
- Support the implementation of non-invasive data governance
- Develop relationships with a broad range of business partners to understand current and anticipated future business needs regarding data and data governance
- Develop data governance policy creation, management, and analyzing potential impacts of policy choices under consideration
- Serve as a liaison between functional and technology teams to ensure a common understanding about business data, including who owns data, what data means, where to find data, when data is available, and how data can be used
- Coordinate and monitor data standardization efforts and compliance, identifying data / process gaps and working with business process owners and technology teams to resolve discrepancies
- Research and development of new data governance best practices and implementation strategies
- Provide data governance expertise in potentially complex areas and data-intensive projects
Requirements
Our skill and experience wish list includes :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, or Finance strongly preferred
- Minimum 5+ years experience in data management, data engineering, business intelligence, data quality, and / or related fields
- Experience with Microsoft Purview is critical to success in this role
- Intermediate level knowledge and experience working with SQL Server and / or in the development of T-SQL code highly desired
- Knowledge of data-related government regulatory requirements, privacy and security best practices, and data lifecycle / retention policies and practices
- Knowledgeable and experienced with data management processes, reference data, policy creation, data stewardship, and technologies
- Demonstrates the ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans, and to deliver against those plans
- Excellent project planning, organizational, and analytical skills is self-motivated, delivering results with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of achieving consensus and buy-in through education, facilitation, persuasion, and leading by example
