Alpine is seeking a Software Developer II to join our Ft. Lauderdale office. In this role, you'll join an agile scrum team responsible for creating software features within Alpine’s suite of software products.

The Software Developer II will participate in all areas of development including design, coding and testing in collaboration with the team and aligned with company standards and guidelines.

Candidates with a background in Engineering (Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering) are preferred.Primary Responsibilities : Work with an Agile Scrum team to develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based software productsAnalyze and provide solutions to technical problems and projectsDevelop automated unit tests for applications according to company standardsParticipate in peer review sessions of solutions and related code, ensure software quality throughout the complete SDLCPrepare software documentation including technical diagrams and manuals on the design, use, and operation of the softwareAnalyze and provide solutions to technical and application problemsAid in gathering and documenting requirements in the form of Agile Epics, User Stories, and tasksBachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering related fields2+ years’ experience as Software DeveloperAdvanced understanding of the development lifecycle using Agile with Scrum / Kanban and able to coach / mentor others on the lifecycleProficiency with three (3) or more of the following languages : C++, C#, JavaScript, PHP, Python, SQL, Ruby, Java, HTML, TypeScriptProficiency with one or more RDBMS platforms or NoSQL data platformsSolid understanding of Computer Science fundamentalsUnderstanding and application of SOLID principles of software designAble to analyze and generate solutions to complex problems with assistanceMake recommendations and outline pro / consImplement action plan with helpMentor and collaborate with the team as neededExcellent written and verbal communication and organizational skillsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
