Role description :
Arcadis seeks an experienced Senior Scheduler to join our team for a significant tunnel project in the New York / New Jersey area.
This position offers a unique opportunity to play a critical role in managing project scheduling for a high-profile tunnel project.
Join our team and contribute to delivering excellence in project management and execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining schedules within P6.
Role Accountabilities :
- Evaluate and improve scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy; mayinclude developing procedures, instructions, and / or guidelines that facilitate the two-way flow of cost and schedule information.
- Contribute to specified elements of the business planning and budgeting process.
- Manage and ensure that the Baseline Change management process is followed.
- Lead the qualitative and quantitative schedule risk analysis.
- Proactively identify schedule risks and lead teams to identify mitigation strategies to
minimize potential delays.
- Develop bid evaluation schedule criteria and prepares bid evaluations.
- Ensure that schedules meet with the Project Requirements. Review, evaluate and
improve schedule quality.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather
information and ensure accurate representation of project timelines.
- Monitor and report the critical path and schedule performance of the total project.
- Identify performance variances regarding actual versus planned results and recommendcorrective actions to better align planned and actual results.
- Prepare monthly schedule updates, narratives, and reports for management and client.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- At least 10-12 years experience in construction project scheduling and project controls, at least five of which are on highly complex or large (>
$ million) projects, with 5-8 years of direct hands-on experience as a scheduler, specifically using Primavera scheduling software.
Key Skills and Abilities :
- Proven experience in analyzing schedule claims.
- Strong communication and collaboration experience with clients, vendors, and diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
