Hunton Trane, a division of the Hunton Group in Houston, TX (www.huntongroup.com ), is seeking to hire a Sales Bid Coordinator to join our team.

Responsible for sourcing procurement opportunities and leading the preparation and submission of winning proposals. In this role, the Bid Coordinator will assist the Engineering team by responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and managing the proposal development process to ensure the timely delivery of compliant and accurate proposals.

The selected candidate should exhibit strong oral and writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and must be able to successfully collaborate with Sales Engineers, Customers, and Manufacturers to keep the team informed of changes while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities :

  • Act as the central liaison on assigned opportunities and lead the bid development process for Sales Team.
  • Mine Opportunities from multiple construction databases such as FW Dodge, ISquare Foot & Builders Exchange.
  • Assist with kick off meetings, as well as prepare schedules, and compliance matrices for all phases of proposal development.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Sales Team to complete the formulation of winning strategies and articulated throughout the bid process.
  • Manage Bid Day Activities including CRM & Internal Processes, this includes interfacing with customers during the process.
  • Solicit management reviews and approvals during proposal development.
  • Monitor bids to ensure compliance to CRM & Technical requirements and evaluate criteria.
  • Manage pipeline of bid opportunities and communicate potential opportunities to Engineering team. Pipeline management also include forecasting and project closings.
  • Support the submission of winning bid responses by working closely with the team.
  • Research information to include corporate information, product, and other standard materials.
  • Manage reporting systems for all bid day and mined opportunities.

Qualifications :

  • Strong aptitude for improving organization, flow, readability, completeness, and clarity of engineer intensive proposals.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results driven environment
  • Strong computer skills to maximize opportunity data mining.
  • CRM Software Management
  • Microsoft Office Suites Including Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Education and / or Experience Required :

  • Preferred experience in the HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management or contracting environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of MEP Consulting, Architecture, General and Mechanical Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry a plus.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook
