Job Summary :

The Cook at Courtyard by Marriott - Niagara Falls is responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals for our guests in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen environment.

As an integral member of our food and beverage team, the Cook must possess strong cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

This is a full-time, individual contributor role that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and cook food items according to set recipes and standards to ensure consistent quality and presentation
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations while preparing and handling food
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
  • Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment to ensure timely meal service for guests
  • Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or necessary restocking to management
  • Assist with menu planning and developing new dishes to keep our menu offerings fresh and appealing
  • Collaborate with the front of house staff to ensure excellent guest service and satisfaction
  • Adhere to Marriott brand standards and policies in all aspects of food preparation and service

Requirements :

  • At least 1-2 years of experience working as a cook in a restaurant or hotel setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary or hospitality degree a plus
  • Basic understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all health and safety regulations for food handling
