Job Description
Pay Range : $66,800 to $79,885 per year
Manage and provide support to Packaging operations, which consists of cutup, auto debone, trim room, wing segmenting, dark meat debone, and ossid tray pack, develop management personnel through programs to ensure that the departments have a trained and proficient workforce that attain cost and quality objectives.
Coordination of production activities with maintenance , scheduling, Product management, live haul, weigh and price and loading dock to deliver a quality on time product to the consumer.
Responsible for processing / production department(s) and for meeting department and company goals and standards on quality, yield, productivity, cost and safety.
Responsible for the development and training of supervisors and employees, working within the guidelines of Company Policies.
Responsible for quick and timely feedback to plant manager on all exceptions in regards to productivity, downtime, quality, yield, cost, safety, and managing the correction of areas, which are out of acceptable parameters.
Ensure department compliance with Company policies, law and regulations, which include USDA, SSOP and HACCP programs and all OSHA, required safety programs.
Administer to ensure that safety orientations and safety meetings are held as required to keep frequency and severity to a minimum.
Participate at department meetings in the planning process and to the testing and development of techniques / processes
Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to insure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Must have a in Business Management (or a related field) and / or equivalent work experience
Must have five to ten (5-10) years with increasingly responsible management positions in the poultry processing industry
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to evaluate supervision fairly and objectively
Must exhibit strong leadership skills / internal drive to succeed
Must be able to prioritize / adjust quickly to a changing work environment with minimal supervision to meet changing production needs
Must have advanced problem solving skills and independent decision making
