The Manager’s responsibilities include integrating corporate efforts, category technical capabilities, and programs forecasts / opportunities to ensure the sector’s category management efforts are proactive and strategic.
In this role, the selected candidate, individually or through their team, will be expected to : Coach and develop a geographically diverse and remote teamDefine and develop sector-level category strategiesSupport category strategy development for early lifecycle programsSource various categories across multiple programsEnable proactive risk identification and execute mitigation plansManage supplier partnershipsSupport cross-program category budget and define cost objectivesExecute creative strategic agreements and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
Understand engineering, production, and quality requirements as they relate to establishing statements of work and supplier agreementsCreate and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customersDrive new affordability opportunities and developments across the SectorSupport sector initiatives / special projects as requiredCollaborate with Enterprise Category ManagementBasic Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement OR a Master’s Degree with at least 5 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurementMust have experience leading a teamMust have FAR and DFARS experienceMust have previous experience in Supply ChainAt minimum, the ability to obtain an active DoD Secret level clearance to apply and to start the role, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the Company to meet its business needsPreferred Qualifications : Working knowledge of sector categories, including a solid understanding of engineering / technical requirementsAbility to understand engineering practices and work within the technology arena to further the connection between the technology roadmaps and Global Supply ChainAbility to plan schedule and arrange activities to accomplish objectivesExceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to model and promote a strong sense of engagement, teamwork and cooperationExperience building teams and interfacing / collaborating with Programs and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply ChainExceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skillsSignificant experience managing supply chain riskBudgeting experience and EVM knowledgeSalary ranges will be dependent upon where the position is based and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position.
Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience.Salary Range : $141,900 - $246,500The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
