Shared Services : Philanthropy Services CH- (Full-Time, Day Shift) -
Job Summary : The Director of the Children's Hospital Foundation manages the daily operations of the Foundation. This position also supervises its staff, as assigned, including but not limited to staff dedicated to special events planning, grant writing, and individual and corporate annual giving.
Assists the Executive Director in planning, executing and evaluating strategies for a variety of fundraising programs including annual giving, major gifts, foundation grants and planned gifts.
Assists in ensuring development and maintenance of appropriate systems and protocols to fund development. Assists in developing budget for the Children's Hospital Foundation, and oversees the maintenance / management of this budget.
Helps to cultivate, support, direct and assist volunteers, including Guild members. Maintains accountability standards of donors and funding sources.
Assists in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors to Children's Hospital in support of the organization's charitable gift needs and priorities.
Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience : Bachelor's Degree in related field required. Minimum five years fundraising experience required.
One year of leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills : Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position (e.
- g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access); operate / troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others;
- provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, rules and laws;
- work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone;

Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace;
see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications : Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
