Primary Function : Perform functions as required including Grant administration and reporting, General Accounting including accounts payable and receivable management, and general ledger reconciliations.
Essential Job Responsibilities : Grant Administration (60%) Assist with new Applications Prepare and track Budgets and submit Reimbursements Prepare timesheets and maintain supporting documentation for audits Prepare analysis of future grant spending Attend internal and external meetings as required (including webinars).
General Accounting (40%) Process Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Cards, and Deposits Perform Bank and Credit Card reconciliations Enter Payroll journal and reconcile specific accounts Assist in preparing Financial Reports Assist in Annual Audit and Annual Budget process Maintain Fixed Asset records.
Coordinate and issue 1099’s Additional Responsibilities : Manages records retention for all financial information and contracts.
Attends internal and external meetings as required. Maintains, contact and fosters relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment : Minimal physical effort required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, lift and walk. Maximum unassisted lift 50 lbs.
Average lift less than 25 lbs. Requires ability to use computer, various standard and specialized software and database systems, keyboard, calculator and typical office machines.
Requires travel to other Clubs and community agencies for meetings and training events. Environmental Requirements : Inside average office environment.
Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment required. Ambient temperature between 68 and 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
Education Requirement : Minimum Associate degree. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.
Skills / Knowledge Required : A minimum of two years of bookkeeping experience. Not for profit experience preferred, but not required.
Experience working with accounting software, such as Quick Books or similar software Experience with Microsoft software products with a focus on Excel (Minimum required : Intermediate user).
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, processes and procedures. Demonstrated ability to organize and maintain accounting records.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organization and analytical skills with the ability to multitask, identify priorities and meet deadlines.
Thorough knowledge of grant administration, and budgeting. Ability to interact professionally with Club staff, Board members, and other related agencies.
