Description :
The Energy Systems Designer and Drafter will possess a strong proficiency in CAD software, will have or develop a thorough understanding of distributed energy systems (primarily Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage, and Electric Vehicle Charging), and a passion for sustainable energy.
This role will involve creating plan sets and performing system performance estimates.
Requirements :

- Assist with plan set creation, including drafting site plans and solar array layouts in AutoCAD.
- Model Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system performance in Helioscope and Aurora.
- Learn Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage (BESS) and EV Charging Station (EVCS) system design and calculations.
- Maintain Engineering drawing databases and support the engineering change process by updating existing and creating new documentation.
- Assist the Engineering Team and other departments with various technical tasks.
- Handle confidential data professionally.
- Additional tasks as assigned by the management team(s).

- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.

Desirable Skills (not required) :
- Experience with Aurora, Helioscope and / or Energy Toolbase.
- Experience with Sketchup.
- Experience with solar photovoltaic (PV) installation and / or general construction.
- Experience with solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage (BESS) and / or electric vehicle charging (EVCS) system design.
- Familiarity with National Electric Code (NEC) and other building codes.
- Education :
- High School or GED, some college(s) preferred.
- Experience :
- Minimum 1-3 years Drafting / Engineering experience as an individual contributor.
